The Southern Maine Library District, which is comprised of 70 libraries in York, Cumberland, and selected towns in Oxford counties, is hosting the third annual summer reading program for their member libraries, collaborating with The Seashore Trolley Museum, in Kennebunkport.

Libraries will celebrate their summer reading programs with a party for all participants at The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport on Friday, August 19, 2005 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Trolley Museum has generously offered a free admission ticket for all reading program participants, and half-priced tickets for up to two adults accompanying each of the participants.

Tickets to the Trolley Museum are valid for the whole day, allow the ticket holder access to all Museum facilities that are open to the public, and are good for an unlimited number of rides throughout the day on the restored, historic electric streetcars.

There will also be a Scholastic Book Fair that will benefit the Young Elementary School library in Saco and the Trolley Museum, also there will face painting, a moon bounce, balloon sculptures and trolley rides all day long.  Grilled food and refreshments will also be available .

This event is also open to the general public, at the normal admission prices to the trolley museum (Click Here For Regular Prices).
