Seashore Trolley Museum and Yankee Magazine seek Business Friends to participate in the New Community Partners Program
COMMUNITY PARTNERS PROGRAM: The Seashore Trolley Museum has teamed up with Yankee Magazine to offer an exciting new fund raising program to raise funds for Car #31's 100th birthday next year. This new "Community Partners" Program is very simple. For each $20 one-year subscription to Yankee Magazine sold via the Seashore Trolley Museum program, Yankee Magazine will give $10 toward the restoration of the Museum's flagship Trolley Car #31. People who sign up for this exciting new program will also receive a Free Yankee Cookbook. It should be noted the regular price for just a Yankee Magazine one-year subscription is $24 per year.
"We are very pleased to be working with Yankee on this great program" commented Seashore Trolley Museum Executive Director Phil Morse. "We want to be sure our area businesses are aware Yankee can make great Christmas gifts. And we are hoping some local businesses may purchase these as gifts for valued customers or for valued employees."
"About a quarter of all Yankee subscriptions are purchased as holiday gifts. Through this program individuals and businesses can give a gift that gives back to their own community," said Jamie Trowbridge, Yankee's publishing director.
The Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s oldest & largest museum of mass transit vehicles and is home to the National Collection of American Streetcars. Located on Log Cabin Road in Kennebunkport Maine, the museum houses trolleys and streetcars that once plied the streets of America’s greatest cities, plus many more from around the world. Visitors can explore the museum’s exhibit barn, ride the scenic trolleys, browse the trolley library and watch cars being restored in the restoration shop. For an additional fee of $30 one can even be a "Motorman" and drive one of the 20-ton trolleys. This living history museum offers a nostalgic journey into the past and a living memory of the grand trolley era for all ages to enjoy.
