Family Music Festival at the Seashore Trolley Museum

- A Benefit Concert for School Around Us

May 15, 1999 Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport Maine will host a family music festival complete with nine separate musical acts as part of their 60th Anniversary Celebration. Concert goers will be treated to an antique trolley ride out to the concert field which is located at "Meserve's Crossing" off the restored Trolley line serviced by the Seashore Trolley Museum. Just a few of the featured acts will be Children's Songs From the Sea, Strolling Bagpipes, Bluegrass, Jazz and much more. The cost of this great event is only $10 for adults and FREE for all children age 14 & under. $10 includes an Antique Trolley ride to the concert field and admission to all nine musical acts. This is a benefit concert for the School Around Us located on Log Cabin Road in Arundel.

The day long activities begin at 10am and continue until 7pm that night. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic, food and drinks will be available at the field but in limited supply only. No pets or alcohol will be permitted.

All of the bands have graciously donated their time for the School Around Us. Musical acts in order of appearance are: David Stuart Foster - Strolling Bagpipes, Rob Spaulding Trio - Jazz, Velveetas - Smooth Originals & Sharp Oldies, Windstrum - Celtic Folk, Frank Gotwals - Children's Songs From the Sea, Folks Together - Bluegrass, Stephen Bracciotti - Original Folk, John Perrault & Mike Rogers - Folk, Friend Street Band - Rock.

For an extra $5 concert goers can be treated to all of Seashore Trolley Museum grounds including unlimited trolley rides all day, narrated tours of the Museums numerous displays and trolleys.

The Seashore Trolley Museum will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary this summer with season long promotions and events. The Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s oldest & largest museum of mass transit vehicles and is home to the National Collection of Historic American Streetcars.

The Seashore Trolley Museum has been operated by the New England Electric Railway Historical Society since 1939 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit educational institution. The Museum will reopen for its 60th season May 1, 1999.
