New WWW Address and Site for the Seashore Trolley Museum- www.trolleymuseum.com

Kennebunkport, Maine: The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport Maine is pleased to announce its new location on the World Wide Web: www.trolleymuseum.com. This totally revamped web site features dozens of pages of fascinating information about the Museum, trolleys and the Kennebunks. You can also find the local weather forecast, links to local accommodations, even an on-line trolley store.

The Seashore Trolley Museum will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary this summer with season long promotions and events. Volunteer Web Master Rick Russell of Wellesley Massachusetts took over the web site in May 1998 and has donated hundreds of hours redesigning and expanding the Museum's web site in preparation for the big 60th anniversary celebrations. Rick is personally responsible for getting the Museum their new web address on the Internet. Rick works in the Wellesley College Distribution Center during the week but can often be seen on summer weekends at the Trolley Museum where he volunteers as a Trolley Motorman, Instructor and museum tour guide. "I enjoy volunteering my time to the museum, and I especially enjoy telling our visitors about the museum, and how important the trolley was to everyday life, before the invention of the automobile," commented Russell. "I hope this web site can allow thousands of others from around the world to share in a little piece of what we do."

Bob Kelly, who started the Museums Web site three years ago with Paul Szlyk and Mark Forman, continues to update the "merchandise" section of the site. The Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s oldest & largest museum of mass transit vehicles and is home to the National Collection of Historic American Streetcars.
