Dates To be Determined
Hop aboard the streetcar for a ride to Meserve's Crossing, about a quarter of the way out on the rail line to Talbott Park. After disembarking on the platform, take a short walk to the adjacent field to pick pumpkins (included with the regular admission fee). Children may decorate their pumpkins at Meserve's Crossing with paints supplied by the Museum.
"Check-in" your pumpkin with our volunteers at the platform and it'll be transported back to the Visitors' Center aboard Portsmouth, Dover & York Railways mail car #108 while you can continue your trolley ride without having to worry where to keep your new souviner or about getting that fresh paint on anything. You can enjoy walking around the Musuem grounds when you get back from your trip, but don't forget your pumpkin before you leave, it's waiting for you! Head over to the receiving area and match your claim tickets to get your pumpkin.
The event features...
Pumpkins for all children - Face painting - Pumpkin Painting - Refreshments
Pumpkin Patch Trolley has become a tradition for many local families. Riding a trolley on a crisp fall day, experiencing transport history, and picking the first pumpkin of the year adds up to a great start to October and the upcoming Halloween season.
